Inspired by a life-long love for food and culinary adventures, Alex Moser turned his passion into a career 17 years ago, by commencing work at Grand Hyatt, Berlin.

Chef Alex is what culinary dreams are made of – experimental, passionate and conversational. He likes to play with flavors and spice.

His passion saw him take up assignments and various roles with the Hyatt group over the years. His travelling shoes and penchant to delight different taste buds took him across continents. He donned the chef’s hat in the hotel chain in Germany, Dubai, Russia, France, Switzerland, Holland and Turkey.

Alex particularly takes pleasure in cooking with some of the locally popular spices and ingredients. The constantly evolving menu of Andaz allows him the flexibility to experiment with new combinations of local ingredients, mixing traditional flavors and modern cooking techniques. He strives to put food on the plate that is not only beautiful and aromatic, but which also has a history to it, its origin not only known but celebrated. Alex tries to create a “modern menu with simple, honest yet bold flavors” for a sumptuous spread.

A keen observer of arts of all forms that he incorporates in the way he cooks, Chef Alex is passionate about fresh, healthy and flavorsome products, drawing inspiration from seasons and cultures.
